Bring the Noise

Bring the Noise is a Spotlight Mission featuring Blaster that ran from April 12th to May 10th. This is the first Spotlight Mission that introduces the fifth tier Master difficulty.

Chapter 1 - Noise Disturbance

Ruckus Identified

Part 1

• Ratchet: Optimus, we're getting readings of audio disturbances from the southern region with seismic ramifications.
• Optimus Prime: What could be causing such a ruckus?
• Ratchet: Not what, but who. Audio diagnostics I ran indicate a bot is responsible for this voluminous "disturbance.
• Optimus Prime: Soundwave?
• Ratchet: Uhh, no. The audio signature is Autobot in origin.
• Bumblebee: There is only one Autobot that could bring that ruckus... Blaster is in the house!

Part 2

• Ratchet: Commander, Optimus, the audio levels are getting worse... to the point of being destructive.
• Optimus Prime: Recommended course of action?
• Ultra Magnus: With all due respect, Optimus, the course of action is obvious. We have to find Blaster and unplug him.
• Optimus Prime: "Unplug" is an extreme measure.
• Ratchet: I'm sure he means that figuratively. But, we do need to "unplug" him until he realizes the damage his decibels can do in the unstable atmosphere of New Quintessa.

Part 3

• Blaster: Look who dropped in to get down! My main bot, Optimus!
• Optimus Prime: We did not come here to get down. We are here to turn down... the noise.
• Blaster: Aw c'mon. I know Primes don't party, but this place needs to get its groove on. The bots here are too uptight for their own good.
• Ratchet: I know you mean well...
• Ultra Magnus: But the party is over. Let's go, and hold it down.
• Blaster: No can do, Ultra Serious. The music is in me and there's no stopping it. Get beat or get beats... it's your choice.

Party Getting Started

Part 1

• Bumblebee (DOTM): Yo' Bee.
• Bumblebee: Yeah, Bee?
• Bumblebee (DOTM): Man, the whole alternate reality doppelganger thing is weird. Anyway, what do you know about this Blaster bot?
• Bumblebee: Aw, Blaster is a stand up, get down Autobot. He's loyal to both the Autobots and his love of getting the party started. Why do you ask?
• Bumblebee (DOTM): Well, there's been bit of a problem. The Commander and Ultra Magnus tried to bring him in to HQ and turn down the volume.
• Bumblebee: Oh-oh.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): Oh-oh is right. They had him under control when his cassettes ejected and sprung him loose.
• Bumblebee: That means the party is just getting started.

Part 2

• Optimus Prime: What are you doing here, soldier? You were assigned to recon patrol in the northern sector.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): Sorry, but I got sidetracked helping a friend help a friend.
• Optimus Prime: If this is about Blaster, the Commander and I will handle it. You have your orders. Carry them out.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): You're not the boss of me. Sure you're a Prime, but you're not my Prime.
• Optimus Prime: In times of duress we must endeavor to remain united. Return to the base, do your duty.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): Some other time... Prime.

Part 3

• Optimus Prime: Commander, the heavy reverb and pulsating bass suggest Blaster lies ahead.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): Lay off him. As someone that spent years with a broken vocal box cranking out random radio hits and movie quotes, I know what it's like to be misunderstood.
• Optimus Prime: That was not of my doing or my concern. My concern is our present safety.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): C'mon Optimus Downer, sometimes you have to let a bot find himself. You've gotta let Blaster be Blaster.
• Optimus Prime: That is a terrible idea. Blaster's audio input endangers us all.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): Does it? Or, does it just annoy you that someone is enjoying the right of all sentient beings... to be free to be oneself?

Chapter 2 - Put It on Blast

Fight the Power

Part 1

• Optimus Prime: Optimus, if I may be so bold... what has possessed "your" Bee? His stubborn insubordination worries me.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): I fear stubbornness is a trait all Bees may possess.
• Optimus Prime: The Bee I know would never disobey me.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): I would not be so sure. My Bee said they are united in allowing this Blaster bot of yours to... I believe he said... "find his groove".
• Optimus Prime: If we are to restore a semblance of order and stability, Blaster and his "groove" must be found.

Part 2

• Bumblebee: Yo' Bee, what's the deal?
• Bumblebee (DOTM): I tried to hold them off, but that Commander has a stacked squad.
• Bumblebee: Thanks, bud, but it's my turn now. I'll slow them down and buy him some time.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): Time for what?
• Bumblebee: I talked with him and he says he's working on a new jam. He's claiming it's good enough to soothe a savage Dinobot.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): Wow, quite the claim.
• Bumblebee: Yeah, but I figure we oughta give him a shot at it. Grimlock's been acting rowdier than usual lately.

Part 3

• Optimus Prime: Say it is not so. You too?
• Bumblebee: Me too, what... Optimus?
• Optimus Prime: You too are in league with Blaster as he lays sonic waste to the land.
• Bumblebee: I'm not in league with anyone. I'm just trying to help a bro-bot find his groove.
• Optimus Prime: Translation?
• Bumblebee: I know you don't get it, but Blaster is an artist. It's in his park. He has to get it out, then he'll be fine.
• Optimus Prime: Get it out?! Bumblebee, get out of the way!
• Bumblebee: Not yet, sir. Blaster needs to kick out his jam. If that means I need to fight the power... so be it!

Primes Don't Party

Part 1

• Megatron: Are we not through with you yet?
• Starscream: Are you through with winning?
• Megatron: You are hardly one to speak of winning.
• Starscream: But, I have a plan. One that exploits the Primes' weakness.
• Megatron: And I have a brain and a giant gun. But, I suppose it would not hurt to discuss the Primes' weaknesses. What do you propose?
• Starscream: Recently, the Autobot Blaster has surfaced on new Quintessa. All reports are that he is driving the Primes mad with his incessant music playing.
• Megatron: Everyone knows Primes don't party. So what?
• Starscream: So we grab Blaster, trick him into playing his annoying ditty, and zap him with a T-Cog Disabler...
• Megatron: And use him to push the Primes over the edge. Create chaos of the sonic persuasion. Hmmm...

Part 2

• Blaster: Starscream? What are you doing here? Don't you have a back to stab somewhere?
• Starscream: Tsk-tsk, my fellow Cybertronian. I am a non-aligned bot of peace here on this deranged planet. You might say I follow the beat of own drummer.
• Blaster: I can get behind that, kinda going solo myself. But, what's that funky gadget?
• Starscream: A T-Cog Disabler.
• Blaster: What does it do?
• Starscream: You are as dumb as you are loud. I'll show you what it does if you show me that song everyone says you're working on.
• Blaster: I'm always down to get down, but I've got to transform first.
• Starscream: Sucker.
• Blaster:
  Argh!!!!

Part 3

• Sideswipe: Hey Optimus, looks like bringing me on the mission was a good call. Look who I found... Blaster!
• Optimus Prime: So I can hear. His choice in music is still as terrible as ever.
• Bumblebee: Yo, Blasty... it sounds like you've found your jam. Now, transform and let's roll out.
• Optimus Prime: You heard Bumblebee. Transform, it is time to go.
• Starscream: Why the rush? Maybe he just wants to bump his beats. Or maybe, he can't transform. Either way it sounds like we've got a party.
• Optimus Prime: What have you done to him?
• Starscream: Why, I've merely set him free to bring the noise.
• Bumblebee: Oh yeah, Decepticreep? You're going to see what it's like when a Killa Bee brings it!

Part 4

• Sideswipe: Jeez, what a piece of work. As soon as we save his beat blasting butt he lays down a circuit jamming track and takes off.
• Bumblebee: He's on a mission... a mission from Primus!
• Optimus Prime: That just means our mission continues. Roll Out!

Chapter 3 - Last Dance

Superior Beats

Part 1

• Megatron: Let me guess you sniveling sycophant, you have failed me again. And, as always, I'm sure it wasn't your fault.
• Starscream: But, it wasn't.
• Megatron: Of course.
• Starscream: The plan was sound, but I didn't account for Bumblebee's love of Blaster's wretched noise pollution.
• Megatron: Failure is failure.
• Starscream: A setback is not a failure. It is a learning opportunity. Blaster still has the potential to be a weapon of mass distortion. You'll see.

Part 2

• Soundwave: Lord Megatron, Shockwave has informed me that you collude with Starscream.
• Megatron: There is no collusion. I merely let the fool carry out an attempt to disrupt the Autobot forces using their own Blaster against them.
• Soundwave: Starscream and Blaster are both inferior bots. The potential for success was minimal. You only need to enlist the services of a superior bot... me.
• Megatron: If my datadrive serves me correctly, did Blaster not prove superior at your infamous Dancitron beat battle?
• Soundwave: That was an anomaly. My sub-woofer was malfunctioning.
• Megatron: Yet another excuse for another flunky that fails me.
• Soundwave: Your assessment is incorrect. I will prove my worth in the realm of audio warfare.
• Megatron: Actions speak louder than words. Prove it.

Part 3

• Soundwave: Cease your forward movement.
• Sideswipe: Huh?
• Bumblebee: I think he wants us to stop.
• Sideswipe: Why didn't he say so?
• Bumblebee: Whatever, we aren't stopping till we get our block rocking buddy Blaster back.
• Soundwave: That will not happen.
• Sideswipe: What's the deal, Soundwave... your cassettes need rewinding?
• Soundwave: Megatron needs verification.
• Bumblebee: Verification of what?

Time to Dance

Part 1

• Bumblebee: Things are popping out in the Wastelands, Optimus.
• Optimus Prime: I am sure they are, whatever that means. Do you have any word on Blaster?
• Bumblebee: Other than that he is a peacock and you've gotta let him fly?
• Optimus Prime: If my knowledge of Earth ornithology is correct, peacocks do not fly. But, that is beside the point. Clarify.
• Bumblebee: I'm just saying that he's an artist... he needs to express himself.
• Optimus Prime: He will be a dead artist if Soundwave and the Decepticons have their way.
• Sideswipe: Optimus is right, Bee. This has to end.
• Bumblebee: I suppose you're fight. But, I'm thinking Blaster has one more encore in him.

Part 2

• Blaster: What's cracking, Bee? I haven't seen you in a hot minute.
• Bumblebee: Ah, you know... just been doing the scouting, fighting, looking for you thing.
• Blaster: That's heavy, but I understand, bro-bot.
• Bumblebee: The thing is, Optimus has a point. It's time for you to come in and jam with us... your band, your alliance... The Autobots.
• Blaster: Yo' Bee, I'm not sure if I can give up the solo life just yet. Tell Optimus we need to get down one last time, a last chance to turn the funk out.
• Bumblebee: He wins... you come home?
• Blaster: Sounds like a deal for real, homebot.

Part 3

• Optimus Prime: Has Blaster come to his senses?
• Bumblebee: He's got one more track to lay down. Trust me, it's bad!
• Optimus Prime: I know, that's why this must end.
• Bumblebee: No, not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good!
• Optimus Prime: Bumblebee, this nonsense is over. Point the way to Blaster.
• Bumblebee: Ok, Optimus. But, let him in on his own terms, to his own beat.
• Optimus Prime: I make no promises, but if he is ready to deal... we will deal.

Part 4

• Blaster: What's shaking, Optimus? Bee told me you'd be rolling through my hood.
• Optimus Prime: Yes, I tend to roll everywhere. For the last time, please return with us to HQ... in silence.
• Blaster: Before we do, it's time we dance... or we dance.
• Optimus Prime: You know Primes do not party... nor dance. Explain yourself.
• Blaster: I guess you're choosing to dance. Here's the deal. We get in on one last time while I play you my latest, greatest jam. You win... I leave with you. You lose, I get to keep kicking it solo.
• Optimus Prime: Let us dance.
