Chromia is a Netflix-exclusive Warrior class Autobot.

Background[]

  • A reflection of Chromia is in Sunstreaker's window chest on the 9.1 loading screen of the original game.
  • Chromia's asset files were in the game's 9.1 version installer but are nowhere to be found in the 9.2 version. Sadly this means Chromia is cancelled and will not be released before the game's shutdown, as with the rumored Dead End. (though no asset files were found of him)
  • Chromia ended up being added to the Netfilx version of Forged to Fight. Her class was changed from Tech to Warrior, due to the heavy roster loss in the latter class (Bonecrusher, Drift, Hot Rod and Hound were removed).

Bio[]

A security specialist from Caminus, Chromia is an unparalled infiltrator. Whether she's running counter intelligence or sabotage missions, Chromia wreaks havoc on Decepticon backlines before they know what hit them.

Synergy Bonuses[]

Strategy[]

Chromia is your new Hot Rod! As such, her strategy tips will be copied from the respective page.

Commander[]

Chromia has the unique Slow ability, which is very useful against Bots with Evade buffs and has the added bonus of decreased Power Rate. Slow can even activate through Blocks. (For comparison, a Precision buff reduces the chance a Bot will activate their Evade, while Deceleration will stop a Bot from evading.)

Keep at range and if duped, keep using Special I to gain lots of power enough for either a Special II or III. Prolonged Slow leads to safer scenarios where you're facing an Evasive bot. She is a safer option to bring with you, even against Brawlers, as she won't Bleed and in turn get that Bleed turned against her (well, as long as you don't use special 1). There are also little-to-no counters to Slow.

Also, hitting a Slowed Bot grants her Crit Rate Buffs, which will stack the longer the Slow is active and how long you can keep hitting the opponent, especially bots with Armor. This will lead to her dealing major burst damage by the time she has 10 Crit Rate Buffs (on a maxed-out Chromia, though not much has been known as of writing).

Stacking Slow using Special III first then stacking Special II's will lead to drastically reduced Power Rate. (Note that you cannot stack slow through regular ranged attacks)

While she is still effective with an unawakened Signature, it is the icing on the cake. Extra Power rate and Evasion against Ranged Attacks are beneficial. If her signature's level is sufficient enough, you can go for Special II then chain Special I's lots of times, or Special III then chain Special II's.

Opponent[]

Chromia may have Slow, but she still Bleeds!

If you're using an Evasion-heavy Bot like Sideswipe, getting hit by her Slow will be very, very detrimental. No Evades and Reduced Power rate will be very, very detrimental.

There's no Bot who can Purify Slow Debuffs but Kickback and Ironhide, so that grasshopper and the red van are your only proper hope against this warrior. Alternatively, don't face him against an Exo-Filtered Bot, the Slow will be Purified. Like Blaster, bots too also sometimes get inflicted by the decelerations while dodging Hot Rod’s ranged attacks.

It is ironic that the Bot who will prevent an awakened Chromia from Evading is Chromia herself.

Strong Match-ups[]

Bots[]

  • All Evasive Bots will have a very hard time against Chromia, her Slow Debuff will completely negate the opponent’s chance to activate their Evade abilities. Yes, that also includes herself.
  • Sideswipe - Slow will slow down the Power gained through Maximum Thrust and stop Evading after 7 hits.
  • Arcee - Slow will stop ranged Evades and decrease the Power gained through Crits.
  • Bumblebee - The yellow speedster loves to Evade, a pastime of his that can easily be shut down with a slow.
  • Grimlock - In a rare case for a warrior to be superior to a brawler, Chromia's slow cannot be purified and in turn doesn’t fuel the rage. (This as long as you do NOT spam special 1's against him.)
  • Megatronus - Slow will keep prolonging the Fallen from tapping into his true power.

Mods[]

  • Nightbird's Mark - Deceleration shuts down Evade abilities given by this Module.

Weak Match-ups[]

  • Chromia - Chromia's Slow Debuff will completely negate the opponent’s chance to activate their Evade abilities. Yes, that also includes herself.
  • Kickback - Despite type advantages, Kickback can consume Eyes on Target and Slow buffs/debuffs. Be warry against this Insecticon.
  • Megatron - Chromia's Eyes on Target buff can be stolen by Megatron if he fuses a debuff.
  • Blaster - Interference will slow down Chromia's slow, and Blaster's power gain won't be stopped.
  • Ironhide - Ironhide can remove one Armor to purify slow.

Mods[]

Recommended Modules[]

While Chromia may be more suited towards offense, you may pair her with these Mods on your base!

  • Chromia has a chance to inflict Deceleration on her Ranged Attacks, Laser Guidance will further enhance damage and also make it easier for her to hit with those attacks because of the ranged projectile speed increase.
  • Robot Resource reduces the Power generated on attacks and in exchange provides passive Power over time, but CHromia’s signature ability will enhance her Power generated in attacks, neutralizing the negative effects of the module and making it extremely powerful.
  • Nightbird's Mark - Improves her Evade and Criticals.
  • E.M.I. Module - The E.M.I. Module will slow down her enemies' ranged attacks and allow Chromia to utilize faster Ranged Attacks to slow down her opponent.

Trivia[]

  • Chromia appears to be based on her IDW appearance than the Thrilling 30 toy inspired by it, and a kibble backpack based on the front end of her Siege toy's car mode. This suggests her alt mode may have been a four-wheeler instead of a motorcycle.
  • She is the fourth fembot to join the game, after Arcee, Windblade and Slipstream.
  • Her skill set is heavily copied from Hot Rod, making her a good counter for those with the evade ability.
