Crossfire

Crossfire is a Spotlight Mission featuring Jetfire that ran from December 7 to January 10, 2019.

Changes/Rewards

• All Bot Chip amounts are now doubled.
• Master Rewards are full T3 Alpha Sparks instead of a half.
• New Master Completion Reward: T2 Mod Spark Crystal
• New Objectives for Mastering each difficulty.

This mission introduces Minibosses in Chapters 2 and 3, with buff a unique to them.

Chapter 1 - Ghosts of the Past

Be Not Afraid

Part 1

• Marissa Faireborn: Teletraan is reporting a new abnormality in Deception activity. I'm requesting all Primes and the Commander on deck for this one.
• Optimus Prime: What seems to be the quandary?
• Marissa: Everything within range of scans is swapping signals! First a desertion of Deceptions, then a flood of them.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): Can you propose a location for us to rally?
• Marissa: Up ahead there's one specific signal that is reading Autobot, with a background radiation of Decepticon circuitry.
• Optimus Primal: A Decepticon in disguise? Seems like a place to start.

Part 2

• Jetfire: That's far enough Decepticons! Posing as Primes, have you no shame?
• Optimus Prime: Skyfire! Is that you?
• Jetfire: My designation is Jetfire! Calculate carefully before you speak next, imposters.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): Too young to be the Jetfire I know. Same blunt attitude however.
• Optimus Prime: An Autobot by any name is a welcomed sight. If you just allow us to explain-
• Jetfire: Enough of your charade! There is not a Prime amongst you, one of your ranks couldn't even copy the form correctly!
• Honestly, an APE?! As a PRIME?
• Optimus Primal: If I wasn't sympathetic to your confusion, I may begin to take offense.

Part 3

• Jetfire: I have been studying this world since my arrival. Duplicates, Dark Energon pockets, and timelines overlapping or rewritten.
• Optimus Primal: It can be a lot to take in, time travel is never a simple thing to accept.
• Jetfire: From my observations, I can only assume you represent a threat and I must take preventative measures.
• Optimus Prime: What can we do to prove we are Autobots through and through?
• Jetfire: I believe in what my optics report and my sensors measure. When you and your human can fight like Primes, I'll start trusting you.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): You heard him Commander, show what kind of Sparks burn inside us!

Of Greatness

Part 1

• Jetfire: I've searched this area to track the pulse of Decepticon energy. I've returned with a few...contradictory findings.
• Optimus Prime: In what way?
• Jetfire: I've seen Autobots turn on each other. Bases defended by Decepticons and Autobots alike. A path to a war that I wish to never see.
• Optimus Primal: It can be a strange world. But many of us remain as you remember.
• Jetfire: There is one whom I remember, their signal is nearby. I have hopes that this world changed them for the better.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): Hope is a luxury we are often not afforded.

Part 2

• Starscream: Are my optics faulty? Have the fates brought me closure and delivered Skyfire to me?
• Jetfire: My designation is Jetfire. Chaos and misfortune brought me here Starscream, but perhaps we may serve a purpose.
• Optimus Prime: This is who you were seeking out, Jetfire?
• Jetfire: Back on Cybertron he and I were paired as scouts. For the sake of efficiency, he would be an ideal candidate as we can scan for the source of Decepticon abnormalities.
• Starscream: Feeling homesick? I'm not in a nostalgic mood.
• Jetfire: It's for a greater good!
• Starscream: Since when is being good so great?

Part 3

• Starscream: I've detected a thing or two, but I don't share secrets with weaklings. You'll have to prove yourself worthy of my assistance.
• Jetfire: It would be hypocritical of me to deny a challenge I so recently requested.
• Optimus Primal: Agreed, I say we indulge him.
• Jetfire: I take no pleasure in this, Starscream.
• Starscream: Don't worry, I'll take plenty for both of us.

Chapter 2 - Enemies of the Present

Uneasy Lies the Head

Part 1

• Jetfire: Starscream, what is waiting for us ahead?
• Starscream: Suffering, punishment, and ultimately defeat.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): You may wish to adjust your tone, or we shall make adjustments for you.
• Starscream: Old habit, my new and fearless leader. the Decepticons are gathering fresh forces.
• Optimus Primal: More Decepticons leaders are being brought over? Another beastly Megatron?
• Starscream: No, they're brining over those who are known to follow orders. A Tactician in this case.

Part 2

• Bumblebee (DOTM): I was told some Autobot scrap heaps were headed over here for a fight.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): Bumblebee? What is your malfunction?
• Starscream: He's not your Bumblebee, Prime. He is part of the Decepticon plan.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): Dark Energon again? Hardly a new tactic.
• Starscream: Not quite, they are using a Spacebridge to access an ancient Dark Realm. This Bumblebee is a Decepticon loyalist.
• Jetfire: Confirmed, the only Autobot sources registering from him are on...
• ...his knuckles.
• Bumblebee (DOTM): A bit of sparring practice, but don't worry I have plenty of fight left in me for all of you.

Part 3

• Megatron (ROTF): Enjoying yourselves, Autobots?
• Optimus Prime (MV1): This is your plan? Break our spirit by forcing us to destroy reflections of those under my command?
• Megatron (ROTF) Do not pretend to be a leader, Prime! You are a butcher. you have torn apart many a Bot whom you deemed unworthy!
• Optimus Prime (MV1): Our world knew more brutality than most. However, I only did what was necessary to protect innocent lives.
• Megatron (ROTF): Then you understand that when I snuff the Sparks of three Primes, I do it to save all Decepticons kind!
• Optimus Prime (MV1): I understand...that you will try.

That Wears a Crown

Part 1

• Jetfire: How are they accessing the Spcebridge? The Energon required for transreality transfer is near incalculable.
• Starscream: They weren't exactly keeping me in the loop. I just know the general area that everyone seemed to be headed.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): Are you telling us that even the Decepticons do not trust you?
• Starscream: I may have a reputation for myself. It's not as though I'm the only disloyal Decepticon, is it Jetfire?
• Jetfire: I am loyal to logic and science. All the facts presented proved to me that the Decepticons served only as instruments of destruction.
• Starscream: Ah, but what lovely music those instruments make.
• Optimus Primal: Less chatter, more movement. We need to stop this plan as soon as possible.
• Starscream: As you command.

Part 2

• Bumblebee: Well, well...if it isn't a platoon of Primes and turncoats looking for another beehive to bother.
• Jetfire: Commander, this duplicate Bumblebee is not the same model as the one we previously encountered. Fresh tactics and no mercy is advised.
• Starscream: No mercy? Perhaps I am on the right team. Human participant or not.
• Bumblebee: You brought a human with you? It has been some time since I made one fear my fury.
• Optimus Prime: You will find our Commander is made of sterner stuff.
• Bumblebee: Oh, I plan to discover EXACTLY what they are made of.

Part 3

• Megatron: Does it awaken anything in you? This unrestrained violence against your friends?
• Optimus Prime: You lack originality Megatron. Will you all be just retreading the same plan over and over?
• Megatron: Prime, until you can repeat the results of a test...you've not really progressed in your findings.
• Jetfire: I am reluctant to agree with the details, but not the purpose, of that observation.
• Megatron: However, while my counterpart left you functioning, I shall take you offline.
• Jetfire: You'll find the conclusion of this contrary to your hypothesis.

Chapter 3 - Visions of the Future

Passing Through Nature

Part 1

• Jetfire: I'm having concerns that you're leading us to these battles intentionally, Starscream.
• Starscream: I understand your fears, but truly I am leading you to the source of all this!
• Galvatron: The truth? From you Starscream? This is bad comedy.
• Starscream: Autobots! What you seek is just beyond this quadrant. Meet with me there!
• Galvatron: Typical cowardice, this is why I have chosen a worthy opponent to serve as my personal lieutenant.
• Ultra Magnus: Did you summon me, Leader Galvatron?
• Optimus Prime: By the Architect!

Part 2

• Ultra Magnus:Come to donate your scrap to the cause? Our army requires fresh salvage.
• Optimus Prime: Ultra Magnus! It has been months, I thought you were lost to the wastelands.
• Ultra Magnus: My last memory was fighting YOU Optimus, until both our Sparks were extinguished...then I awoke here with a purpose, and a duty.
• Optimus Prime: This duplicate madness must come to an end.
• Ultra Magnus: If you are looking for an end, it will be provided.

Part 3

• Optimus Prime (MV1): Galvatron! If yo have access to a Spacebridge why pervert its purpose to terrorize us rather than use it to escape?
• Galvatron: This world does not wish for our escape, something more all-encompassing and consequential is at hand!
• Jetfire: Would you care to clarify your terms, or is cryptic speech your only refuge?
• Galvatron: You shall understand the grandeur of my words...when I send your Sparks to meet with oblivion.

To Eternity

Part 1

• Starscream:
  DECEPTICONS! THE PRIMES AND TRAITOR HAVE BEEN LEAD TO YOU!!!
• Optimus Prime: I wish I had a single circuit that could register this as a surprise, you triple-faced betrayer!
• Jetfire: Why? Why brother?! What could this madness possibly have to offer you?
• Starscream: FOOL! I gain that which I have always wanted! AN ARMY TO COMMAND!
• Jetfire: Who would follow your twisted will?
• Sharkticon:
  WE AWAIT YOUR ORDERS LEADER STARSCREAM!
• Optimus Primal: Primus save us...the inmates have taken over the asylum! All that's missing is-
• Megatronus: Welcome to your doom, Autobots. We have been eager for your arrival.
• Optimus Primal: Well...that's just PRIME.

Part 2

• Optimus Prime (MV1): I thought our Commander and their team sealed you in the bowels of this world, Megatronus.
• Megatronus: Yes, and I thank them for the glorious honor they bestowed upon me!
• Optimus Primal: Your higher functions pick up a virus? What madness are you spouting?
• Megatronus: You call this world New Quintessa...the Quintessons barely touched the skin of it. I have awoken the TITAN we dwell upon.
• Optimus Prime: You are a Cityspeaker now?
• Megatronus: We share a more ancient understanding. An alignment beyond what Caminus and his mere messengers could have hoped for.
• Jetfire: I shudder to think how broken a mind needs to be done before it could align with yours.
• Megatronus: Have you not seen the replication of other worlds in the midst of their destruction? This plante begs for war, and is a nemesis of life. This Titan is ...
• A DECEPTICON.

Part 3

• Megatronus: I have lived in the yawning expanse of the beyond. Unfathomable darkness has been awaiting and embrace us as it kin.
• Jetfire: I turned from the Decepticon cause. I'm certain this world can be shown the light of truth as well.
• Megatron:
  YOU ARE MISTAKEN, DESERTER!
• Cyclonus:
  WIN OR LOSE...
• Megatron (ROTF):
  ...THIS WORLD IS OURS...
• Galvatron:
  ...AND WE BELONG HERE!
• Megatronus: Make you last stand, Autobot scum. Eternity awaits.
• Optimus Prime (MV1): Commander...
• Optimus Prime:
  ROLL OUT!
