Though some may question Drift’s loyalty to the Autobots, there’s no denying his dedication to his “sensei” Optimus Prime. Forged to wield his powerful swords, this samurai of a bot is all business when it’s time to swing or fling his blades.

At 5 hits Drift gains his Focus and gains a Precision Buff that increases Crit Chance by 20~30% and decreases the opponent’s chance to Evade (by 75~85%) until hit next by the opponent.
At 10 hits Drift’s Focus improves and grants him a 20~40% Crit Damage Buff in addition to his Precision Buff until hit next by the opponent.

Critical Sword Attacks

61% chance to cause a Bleed for 15~25% of Attack over 2 seconds.

On Bleeding Opponents

10% chance to Evade attacks from Bleeding opponents.
Drift becomes 5% more evasive for each active Focus Buff.

Heavy Attacks

Drift has a 100% chance to regain his focus Precision Buff.

At 15 hits Drift achieves full focus and gains a Deep Focus Buff that increases the duration of his bleeds by 50~150% until hit next by the opponent.

Synergy Bonuses[]

Enemies - Mixmaster - +2~3~8% Attack Rating.
Swordmasters - Windblade, Bludgeon, Dinobot - +2~4~10% Critical Damage for each Sword Attack that isn't a Critical Hit until the next Critical Hit. +4~8~12% more Critical Hits in Solo Missions.
Medic Support - Hound - 1.3~2.5~7% of base Health Repaired at the start of the fight. +3~4~5% extra Repair in Raids.
Leadership (5-Star) - Lower tier teammate +10% Critical Damage.

Strategy[]

Commander[]

Once Drift has achieved focus from 5 hits or a heavy his sword strikes are very good at hitting Evasive bots with little chance of them escaping. His bleeds also enable himself to Evade, so work your finesse to get full 3-tier focus for the longest bleeds.

Opponent[]

Drift’s powerful melee playstyles has a weakness against Ranged Attacks, As such he is rather easy to fight. Like an Al Ratchet, an Al Drift can spam the annoying heavy attacks to build up his combos. Never take any of his bleeds or he will constantly evade your attacks though precision buffs or deceleration debuffs can stop him from evading,

Strong Match-ups[]

Scouts - Drift’s Precision Buff will ensure that scout bots has nowhere to Evade to.
Wheeljack - Drift's frequent Critical Melee Hits will throw a wrench in Wheeljack's plans.

Weak Match-ups[]

Anyone with unstoppable buffs like Motormaster will break through Drift’s combos.
(MV1) Optimus Prime's ability to Repair while Bleeding will turn one of Drift’s greatest strengths against himself. There’s a reason why Drift called Optimus Prime his sensei.
Optimus Primal is a bot to never challenge with Drift. Your combo buffs will do nothing and bleeding the robotic ape will only repair him. Never challenge the king of the jungle with Drift.
Grimlock should also never be messed with. The king of the Dinobots will turn Drift's bleed strength against him with sheer strength.
Hot Rod, Arcee, Hound and Waspinator can disable Drift's Evades on Bleeding Opponents (which is a thing especially when he's on a Harm Accelerator).
Kickback can T-Clog Drift from using his heavy attacks to build combos despite the class type advantages.
Thundercracker can purify Drift's many Bleeds and turn them into Melee Buffs.
Megatronus should also never be messed with since the bleeds will be weakened when the relic of preservation is active. Megatronus too doesn’t evade attacks and the relic of obedience will not allow Drift to have any other buffs.

Recommended Modules[]

Drift Evades while the opponent is Bleeding; with the Harm Accelerator, that time is always.
The Nightbird's Mark can help Drift deal more Critical Damage and Evade more Melee attacks.
The E.M.I. Module can give Drift more chances to Focus. Also, forcing enemies to fight him up close will fuel his Combo Meter.
Strange Refractor - for better Block Proficiency, allowing him to Protect his Combo Meter in Close Combat.
