Evil Tread: From Rust 'Til Dawn

Evil Tread: From Rust 'Til Dawn is a mini Spotlight Mission featuring Arcee, Blaster and Mirage that ran from October 17th until October 31st, 10am PT.

From November 1 to 4, 12-hour Evil Tread Missions were available and awarded Hallowed Crystals and Shards.

Synopsis

Grisly ghouls from every tomb are closing in to seal your doom... Something strange has been awakened in New Quintessa and it is manifesting with new Buffs, Nodes, and THE ROLLING DEAD!

Zombies have been awakened and it's up to Arcee, Blaster and Mirage to see if they can undo the evil that has been released in this special Mini-Mission: EVIL TREAD: FROM RUST 'TIL DAWN!

This special Mini Mission will be live on October 17th at 10am PT until October 31st at 10am PT.

Overview

Mods

• Hunger - This Bot slowly loses health, but gains health whenever it does damage.
  • No way to prevent this except possibly for Repair Block, but the health gain is very negligible.
• Revive - Bot has a chance to revive, purify all debuffs and heal every time it is defeated. (Reduced chance to revive each time it is defeated.)
  • Watch the health bar. The lower it gets per revive the less chance the Bot has to revive.
• Critical Weakness - Bot suffers -40~55% Armor Break from Critical Hits, but gains 40~50% Armor Up against non-Critical hits.
  • Scouts and Crit-lovers are particularly useful.
• Burn It - High chance to revive, unless it is on fire.
  • Use Grimlock or Ironhide, as they are the most reliable, and see an affected Bot burn to the ground with little chance to come back.

Mission 1 - BITE

Part 1

• Arcee: Blaster, I've been told that there's a strange signal emitting from here.
• Blaster: I'm here to hear! Even brought along Mirage to see if he can see what we can't!
• Mirage: Making things vanish is more my speed...but I do spot come code wavelengths floating about. Perhaps we can scan them.
• Balster: Won't take me but a tick to tune it in! 01001110 01101001 01100011 01101011 01100101 01101100.
• Mirage: Just reading out any code you find now? Earth reference table has that as Atomic Number 28. Nothing fancy. I'm a fan of 79 or 45 myself.
• Arcee: Guys! Something is wrong. A massive energy pulse just went through this area.
• Kickback: Autobot scum-scum. I hunger for fresh metal-metal! Face my mighty new friends-friends!

Part 2

• Kickback: Think you can just leave Kickback behind-behind? I am mighty-mighty!
• Arcee: Something is corrupting him. Readings off him and all the bots have been...strange.
• Blaster: It's like all these creeps caught a nasty bug that's uglier than old hop-long here.
• Kickback: New power is inside me-me. Need to spread it-it. NEED TO FEED-FEED!
• Mirage: It's not enough for these brutish Bots to be rotten inside, now they've gone viral?
• Arcee: I don't want to consider what this world will look like if the virus takes over, lets shut him down and see how far this has spread!

Mission 2 - CONTAMINATION

Part 1

• Arcee: These opponents seem different...hollow...Their optics are on but the lights behind them are so troubling.
• Mirage: It's getting real "Night of the Living Dead Battery" around here.
• Blaster: There's dark doings gettin' done that's for sure. It's getting complex just to shut these folks down.
• Arcee: But shut them down we must, there's too much weirdness going on here lately. I just want one less mystery.
• Mirage: Ask and you shall receive. A series of expert thrashings coming up!

Part 2

• Cyclonus: Halt, a reformatting is in progress. A glorious refragmation of code...and I must thank you for it.
• Arcee: A "thank you" from you sends a creep along my chassis. What are you talking about?
• Cyclonus: The binary code you carelessly transmitted, every byte was dripping with hidden purpose. Elemental instructions have begun seeping into fallen Bots!
• Mirage: See what you've done Blaster? You uploaded without a virus scan! You voided every warranty on the books!
• Blaster: I read things out loud! I'm a public speaker not a public silencer!
• Cyclonus: I have been remade before, my weaker form fell and this form rose. I am eager to see what will rise next.
• Arcee: So what you're saying is you've been destroyed before. Time to give you a reminder.

Mission 3 - INFECTION

Part 1

• Arcee: I have a question I don't think I want the answer to.
• Mirage: How can the Decepti-creeps have bad breath when they don't have digestive systems? Like...are they doing it on purpose? To be more evil?
• Arcee: ...no....something more relevant to our situation. Why have none of us turned?
• Nemesis Prime: Because you have yet to cease your functions...but that shall soon be remedied by the ghoulish grouping you now face.
• Blaster: You wish, Imposter Prime! We're gonna thrash this crew then we're coming for you!

Part 2

• Nemesis Prime: Every step you take on this world, you spread corruption. You break realities. You are a walking infection.
• Mirage: You forgot handsome and talented. We're the whole package Mr. Tall, Dark and Deadly.
• Nemesis Prime: I see I mus fight you on your own terms, I shall allow this plague into my circuitry to strike you down.
• Arcee: If you wanna' get the sniffles before we kick your tailpipe, by all means breathe it in your pathetic shadow of a Prime.
• Nemesis Prime: You shall not live to regret those words.

Mission 4 - OUTBREAK

Part 1

• Blaster: I hate to say it, because it ain't on the level...but this all stinks of dark magic.
• Mirage: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" a quote from Earth author Arthur C. Clarke. Some would call us rather magical. I know I do.
• Arcee: Prose aside, Blaster's not wrong. This coding is beyond anything I've seen.
• Bludgeon: Beyond anything ANY Bot has seen! You wouldn't believe what sins I had to commit to bringing my plan to fruition.
• Arcee: How does any of this follow your strict code of Metallikato, Bludgeon?
• Bludgeon: I wish to find the ultimate opponent, one that cannot fall to my blade seems worthy indeed.
• Blaster: Well we're gonna mow down a few if your zombie-bots and we'll show you who's not failing!

Part 2

• Bludgeon: I found the codes. They were bound in the panels of fallen Bots, inked in their oil, a cursed drive of forbidden knowledge...
• It had to be read by one "pure of spark and clear of intention". I assumed this meant empty headed and without drive. I was apparently correct.
• Blaster: Started kinda' complementary then took a sharp turn there.
• Mirage: Hold on I have try something...KLAATU BARADA NIKTO!
• Bludgeon: What gibberish are you spouting? Are you so brain-dead the code is taking you already?
• Mirage: More Earth pop-culture references. Was worth a shot.
• Arcee: It was a spoken "spell". It's just code. There must be a revert state, an anti-virus, a cure!
• Bludgeon: They obey my will, perhaps they shall crumble if I fail. But it matters not...you're ALL going to die down here.
