- Optimus Maximus - Optimus Prime - Start the fight with 10~20~30~40% Power. Bots only benefit from this bonus if all Bots on the team have this Synergy.

Strategy[]
Commander[]
Ironhide, true to his name, can build up Armor thick enough to mitigate large amounts of damage, But he has to be actively on the offense to keep them up, as he really can't activate other skills without them. Among them is the ability to purify any Debuff, which is good against uncommon ones but needs a long time do so and must be completely still and untouched or he'll lose the timer build-up.
Opponent[]
Care should be taken not to punch Ironhide while Trithyllium Body is active, it reflects successful and blocked hits. At higher ratings and levels it's significantly more painful than a reflected ranged attack or Dinobot's block.
Strong Match-ups[]
- Warriors - With natural Critical Resistance and the ability to remove debuffs, it will be hard for Warrior bots to deal damage to Ironhide.
- Bots that rely on Debuffs will also have to contend with his Debuff removal.
- Hound - relies on stat reduction debuffs which can be purified. Keep in mind that his Ranged Attacks will break Ironhide's Trithyllium Shields.
- Jazz - His Backfire will not be so permanent.
- Rhinox - The Rhino Maximal may be able to gore a Melee buff, but tagging Ironhide with a chaingun chain of melee hits will spell doom for himself.
- Grimlock - Reflecting his own melees especially if he has his own melee buffs will only crush the King Dino himself.
Mods[]
Weak Match-ups[]
- Tacticians - Ironhide relies on his Armor Buffs to really be effective. Most or if not every Tactician bot can remove armor or circumvent it in other ways.
- Any bot that can avoid Ironhide’s attacks until his Armor Buffs runs out can capitalize while he’s weak.
- Starscream - Ironhide is stacked with buffs at the start of the fight ready for Nullifying.
- Ultra Magnus - The more armor buffs ironhide makes, the more armor Ultra Magnus can break.
- Bumblebee (DOTM) - Bumblebee can break his Armor or conduct severe Shock through them.
- Bumblebee - The G1 Bumblebee can break Ironhide's Melee Reflect Shields on critical hits.
- Slipstream - This scout jet can Nullify his Melee Reflect Shields at a distance.
- Cheetor - a Feral Strike goes right through his Armor and can even prevent Melee Reflect from triggering at all.
- Mirage - Mirage's ranged attacks will penetrate many Ironhide's Armors.
- Megatron - Ironhide is stacked with buffs at the beginning of the fight ready to be stolen away once Megatron fuses a debuff and the fact that Ironhide makes tons of buffs, this will put him at a serious disadvantage against the decepticon leader.
- Megatronus, Galvatron and Megatron (ROTF) - These 3 demolitions can inflict energy damage that would outright ignore Ironhide’s armor and purification abilities. Megatronus in paticular has the relic of obedience and can armor break meaning that Ironhide will loose his armor buffs rather quickly.
Modules[]
- Repair Module - Raiders may back away as soon as Ironhide's Melee Reflect is up, which is an opportune time for Repairing above the trigger points to activate Reflect again.
- Exo-Filter - Health from purified Debuffs likewise can let him repeat his Reflection.
- Security Module - It really thickens his hide and lets him hold onto the buffs for longer.

Notes[]
- Ironhide is an extensive remodeling of Ratchet, or at least an all-new model that resembles it; though the inner limbs and extremities look the same, they are subtly different. The shoulders resemble the Siege Ironhide toy, and he has a cartoon-inspired van mode.
- The name of his Special 3 shares its name with a Generation 1 season two episode.
- His Special 2 has a bug where you can sidestep his last shot even if hit by the shotgun blasts.
