Shattered Bridges is October 2019's Spotlight Mission

Synopsis

According to this...

Optimus is missing, Prowl is missing, Wheeljack and Jetfire have disappeared into a Chrono-Mission, new dangers are appearing at every turn. Important intel comes to the Autobot base from a questionable source and it sends two uneasy Autobots on a journey with brave new partners.

Will mysterious evil forces be sent back? Will friends and foes join together? Will anyone survive? Follow the path if you dare, because a dangerous journey awaits on the other side of SHATTERED BRIDGES!

Chapter 1 - Snap

Mission 1 - Crack

Part 1

Marissa Faireborn: Optimus, Bumblebee, we've been given Prowl's Evidence Log. There's also...an unique and troubling detail we need to discuss.

Optimus Prime: That should shed light on the disappearance of Prowl and his Prime. What is the missing detail?

Marissa Faireborn: It's about WHO delivered the message. Megatron and Starscream.

Bumblebee: They looking for a reward? Turning themselves in? Offering to fight each other for our amusement?

Marissa Faireborn: This seems weird I know but I promise we can explain...

Megatron (Shattered Glass): Indeed, Captain Faireborn. We would be honored to have the opportunity to state our case.

Bumblebee: ...I just had a chill go along my transmission.

Part 2

Starscream (Shattered Glass): Hey, we totally understand how this seems odd. Trust us it's throwing us for a loop to see you two.

Bumblebee: Only loop you're doing is to turn tail and jet out of here as you Star-Scram!

Starscream (Shattered Glass): Hah, did you just think about that? It's quite clever. Star-Scram. Like my name, but telling me to leave.

Bumblebee: ...I hate everything that is happening right now. Maybe you need a brawl to drop the act.

Starscream (Shattered Glass): I never seek battle as a first option, but I will protect myself if forced to action.

Bumblebee: ...What is HAPPENING right now?

Part 3

Megatron (Shattered Glass): Hopefully that is out of your system. May we please tell you why we returned Prowl's recordings?

Optimus Prime: Prowl was behaving oddly, may have harmed his own Prime. We shall run an internal investigation. You can be on your way.

Megatron (Shattered Glass): Perhaps this would be better if I just spoke to your Commander privately? Is there some way they and I could be left alone?

Optimus Prime: So that's what this is about. Getting to the Commander. The only way you are alone in a room with them is if I have been atomized.

Megatron (Shattered Glass): Please, we do not have time to let anger dominate this meeting.

Marissa Faireborn: Prime, my scans DO indicate that--

Optimus Prime: In a moment Faireborn! I have some Decepticon trash to throw out.

Mission 2 - Pop and Lock

Part 1

Marissa Faireborn: OPTIMUS! COMMANDER! LISTEN TO ME!

This is not our Megatron and Starscream. Teletraan shows they are from a newly discovered dimensional rip.

Megatron (Shattered Glass): And we hold no ill-will. We know how disorienting this is. In our world we are Earth's last line of defense against the evil Autobots.

Starscream (Shattered Glass): We knew things were off when we saw a human in the Autobot base that was well... breathing.

Bumblebee: Oh... wow... and the first thing WE did was attack you!

Megatron (Shattered Glass): All is forgiven. We did little to brace you to our presence. We understand how hostile that may have seemed. Our most earnest of apologies.

Optimus Prime: Apologies. Yes. That being said, we have much to discuss.

Part 2

• Starscream: We just gotta' round up the bad guys, bring 'em home, and leave you to be...but I'm always open to some help on a hard mission.
• Bumblebee: I hear words coming out of you, but my processor won't accept the order I'm receiving them in.
• Starscream: I know, right? I'm talking to the dreaded Bumblebee, the death-stinger, the doom-bringer, the most feared Autobot lieutenant!
• Jazz (Shattered Glass): Him? FEARED? You're singing the wrong tune Decepti-coward!
• Megatron (Shattered Glass): Jazz! friends find cover and protect one another! Defend the humans!
• Jazz (Shattered Glass): Oh you have meat with you? I'll grease my wheels with them as I dance on your graves!

Part 3

• Optimus Prime: If that is how Autobots behave on your world, it may indeed be wise to combine efforts.
• Starscream: Megatron, Sir! I'm showing the doctor of destruction up ahead.
• Megatron: No Starscream, call a monster by his name: Ratchet.
• Optimus Prime: Ratchet? He is our chief medical officer. What is he in your world?
• Ratchet (Shattered Glass): Someone who dedicated myself to learning the anatomy of Bots, so I can prolong their tortures or instantly snuff the Ember of say...Megatron.
• Starscream: Get behind me! No one will harm Megatron while I still function!
• Ratchet (Shattered Glass): Good, he'll get to watch you get flatlined before I pull the optics from his head!

Chapter 2 - Fractures

Mission 1 - Splitting Up

Part 1

• Megatron: This is a larger escape than we anticipated, we may have to split up.
• Optimus Prime: Agreed, Bee you take Starscream. Megatron and I will head over that ridge and will be in continual radio contract.
• Starscream: May the light of the noble and honorable Liego Maximo shine on you my heroic brothers.
• Megatron: And may your loyal Ember lead you back to us, my most trusted colleague.
• Optimus Prime: Yes. Good. All of this is good. We should be on our way.

Part 2

• Bumblebee: So you and Megatron, Together forever, huh?
• Starscream: Not forever. One day I shall lead the Decepticons and he shall no longer be with me.
• Bumblebee: HAH! I knew you'd be the same deep down.
• Starscream: He has witnessed so much war, so much pain. One day he shall live his cycles out in peace. Then I shall have the great burden of requesting to lead.
• Bumblebee: ....Right. Oh hey! Look! An actual Decepticon!
• Motormaster: Little lethal lady I met said to take your heads as trophies. Says you should back off or get knocked off.
• Bumblebee: I'm weirdly glad too see you. Starscream, let's jack-knife this joker!

Part 3

• Arcee (Shattered Glass): I see that pathetic delivery-boy failed to give you my message.
• Bumblebee: Arcee? You're looking a tad aggressive.
• Arcee: Ahhh, the bumbling Bee. It would be more satisfying to cut the stinger off someone who posed a challenge. But your screams will suffice.
• Bumblebee: The Autobots of your world are very...threatening.
• Starscream: Their tongues are as sharp as their blades. They take pleasure in cutting us with their words as well as their weapons.
• Arcee: Is that your engines whining on you? I'm going to blast you open or go out swinging, wither way let's see what you're made of!

Mission 2 - Patched Together

Part 1

• Optimus Prime: Your Starscream seems to be a very trusted companion.
• Megatron: Without the trust of my team how would I have been elected their leader?
• Optimus Prime: Elected. The Decepticons of your world are a democracy?
• Megatron: Of course, we cannot rely on the whims of the universe. We must take charge and know our vision is represented. How do you rule?
• Optimus Prime: I do not...rule exactly. I was...it is very complicated. We should stay alert. Scan the area.
• Megatron: Very advisable. That will give us intel, and good intel is fifty percent of the combat engagement.

Part 2

• Megatron: Signals up ahead, one of your dimensions's Decepticons and one of my Autobots.
• Wheeljack (Shattered Glass): You pathetic, chittering, slag-heap! This garbage you brought me is worthless!
• Kickback: But Wasp and Scorpion were gathering it to make a space bridge-bridge!
• Wheeljack: So you can't even steal from thieves correctly? My materials must be absolutely flawless for my perfect designs to function!
• Optimus Prime: And just what is it you think you are building?
• Kickback: Prime-Prime! Don't worry science friend, we just found a new source of scrap-scrap!

Part 3

• Wheeljack: Well Kickback was right about new scrap, I can use parts of him for support beams at least.
• Megatron: You dastardly fiend, what is your cracked clockwork mind ticking towards?
• Wheeljack: We escaped here, but we left some friends behind. I'm just making sure the door stays open, maybe get a few more timelines in like I've witnessed on this world.
• Optimus Prime: You mean to strand more bots here? There is no escape from this vacuum of realities.
• Wheeljack: Better to rule in this pit, than kneel on Cybertron. Speaking of kneeling, a little groveling may spare you from my wrath.
• Megatron: You speak bitter lies, mercy is never part of your cruel calculations.
• Wheeljack: I forgot how well you know me Megatron. Truth then. None shall be spared.

Chapter 3 - Bursts

Mission 1 - Animal Magnetism

Part 1

• Optimus Prime: Bumblebee, Starscream, what did you find?
• Starscream: Arcee has recruited Motormaster. Bumblebee and the Commander did a commendable job in settling the situation with minimal damage.
• Bumblebee: Yeah we hit them a bunch until they stopped. What about you two?
• Megatron: Took in intel, quelled a chance for this to spread. Escapes seem to be contained to the one timeline fro our dimension.
• Scorponok: You guys here to take away my new best friend? Because I swear to Primus I'm about to lose it.
• Megatron: Who or what is that?
• Optimus Prime: The answer is, as always, trouble.

Part 2

• Scorponok: He ain't a Predacon, but he sure ain't acting like no Maximal I've ever seen. Except that one time with Rhinox...
• Bumblebee: What are you talking about?
• Scorponok: ...Dropped those boxes on me...made me all flat. OH! Right! I'm here to protect my friend and destroy all who oppose him.
• Optimus Prime: Your friend likely poses a threat to the delicate fabric of reality as we know it.
• Scorponok: Yeah and he keeps trying to claw my face but friends around here are slim and I takes what I gets. So prepare for a fight!

Part 3

• Optimus Prime: If it was a Maximal teaming up with Scorponok that means that multiple timelines from your world have diverged here as well.
• Bumblebee: And I think I'm seeing the bot that jumped all nine of their lives over here.
• Cheetor: GRRRWAAAARRRWLLLLL!
• Stascream: Good Kitty! Nice Kitty! Maybe let's put those claws away huh?
• Bumblebee: Yeah, I don't think he likes being called kitty...or chatting.
• Cheetor: METAL! ENERGON! FEED! HUNGRY!
• Megatron: I agree with Bumblebee, words may fail us here.
• Cheetor: TALK TO MUCH! FIGHT NOW! FEEEEEED!

Mission 2 - Second in Demand

Part 1

• Optimus Prime: This has been a deeply trying and troubling endeavour.
• Bumblebee (Shattered Glass): And the hits just keep on comin'!
• Bumblebee: Oh, come on!
• Starscream: Keep your distance! He is driven only to destroy. If he's this close we may be already out of time.
• Megatron (ROTF): Out of time? Yes.
• Megatron: I can not hide my disgust at this twisted abomination.
• Megatron (ROTF): I assure you the feeling is mutual.

Part 2

• Megatron: You are a Megatron! Namesake of the noble Megatronus who gave his life to protect the Prime he loved! How dare you side with this death-bringer?
• Megatron (ROTF): Your dimension sounds quaint, our Megatronus embraced all the darkness within him. So much so that he seems to have slipped into the shadows of this world.
• Optimus Prime: Megatronus is missing? I thought he was powering up to some grande finale.
• Megatron (ROFT): Well if it's any consolation, you wouldn't have lived to witness it.
• Bumblebee (Shattered Glass): Enough of your posturing Megatron, prove yourself or move aside!
• Megatron (ROTF): I must prove nothing! But I will take pleasure in eliminating this threat to our plans.

Part 3

• Bumblebee (Shattered Glass): Pathetic failure after failure. No Prime can match me, mo Megatron, none even pose a challenge.
• Bumblebee: Where is your Prime? A Bumblebee without an Optimus is lost, I should know.
• Bumblebee (Shattered Glass): Last I saw him, I was tossing his tattered body into the void of space as he tried to convince me he still functioned.
• Starscream: WHAT KIND OF MINDLESS MONSTER WOULD DO THAT?
• Megatron: Team, we may not end this threat today. We may face further terrors in the days to come. But we will not allow Bumblebee one step further into this world.
• Bumblebee (Shattered Glass): Draw a line, and watch me cross it.
• Megatron: You heard him. DECEPTICONS! ROLL OUT!
